This is one of the coolest Persol models in our collection. It feels both contemporary and familiar, like a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, with a streamlined, wind-swept shape. The overall style is reminiscent of the Persol 649 that was designed for the tram drivers of Torino (made famous by Marcello Mastroianni), however this model features an improved saddle bridge that creates fluid, swooping lines. It was created around the late 70s or early 80s under the Ratti family at their original workshop in Torino, and features an early version of the Persol silver arrow temple with additional wave engravings and the patented ‘Meflecto’ system.
