Considered a national treasure in India, Kala cotton is an indigenous cotton variety grown in the Kutch region. It is one of the oldest strains of cotton that is still grown in its pure form. The hardy crop is cultivated in natural rainfall and without the use of any pesticides or insecticides.
Composition: 100% Cotton.
Origin: Kutch, India
Care: Cold wash separately, hang dry.*
*Wash separately in cold water and hang dry. This fabric has been pre-washed; however, we recommend you avoid combining it with white or light-colored fabrics for the first few wears and washes to prevent color transfer. Indigo bleeding is normal in naturally dyed garments during the initial use, after which the color will stabilize. Bleeding of the natural dyes results in graceful fading of the color over time.

Both Stòffa and 11.11 are striving toward zero waste, so rather than creating something new to work with, now felt like a good time to engage materials already in existence, and in doing so highlight the true value of fabric down to the last bit.
