Born from continuous research and bound by our commitment to thoughtful design and responsible production, our fabrics are the foundation of our collection. We take a holistic approach to fabric development, from raw fiber research and sourcing, to careful consideration of environmental impacts like water and power usage. Working with boutique mills and producers to find the right balance of innovative new technologies and time-tested techniques, we create special fabrics designed for a modern context. Our team draws on our extensive knowledge and the expertise of venerable advisors to create and curate a mix of perennial favorites and seasonal specialties.
These fabrics form the foundation of a Stòffa wardrobe. While core colors are offered perennially, special colorations are introduced seasonally with limited availability.
Our suede is light, but not too delicate; elegant, yet easy. The lush feel and natural drape are ideal for sophisticated, casual outerwear. Dyed through a controlled, environmentally conscious process, our exclusive colors develop a charming patina over time. For added functionality, each skin is specially treated for water repellency.
This supple lambskin is made from smooth, blemish-free hides that are drum dyed in a rich chocolate brown and specially finished for a subtle luster. The resulting leather has a dense body, yet remains soft, molding to the wearers individual shape over time. It has an incredibly lush hand and truly ages gracefully.
Peached cotton is a fine twill weave that is brushed and then trimmed for a soft, sueded touch—just like a peach. This luxurious, lofty fabric helps trap heat, making it a great companion in cooler temperatures.
A dense, sturdy fabric, our basketweave cotton is piece-dyed and washed for added character and subtle color variation. It’s a versatile option for casual trousers throughout the fall, winter and spring.
Our water repellant cotton is a true marriage of form and function. The 2-ply cotton canvas is soak-treated for water repellency, and specially finished to be cool to the touch. The result is a subtly lustrous, three-season fabric that holds its shape and is a pleasure to wear.
This open-weave wool is our most breathable fabric yet. It’s made from 3-ply, high-twist yarns for true durability and wrinkle-resistance. For added functionality, it’s also been specially treated for water repellency and odor resistance. It’s an ideal fabric for travel or everyday wear, and perfect for hot weather.
This textured wool silk blend is woven from a multicolored bouclé yarn. Each variation is comprised of four tonal yarns, giving the fabric a rich depth of color. The yarn and weave combination give it a unique slinkiness that allows for a more natural drape.
Our moss flannel is a winter staple. This unique weave is pressed after flannelling, so it's luxurious but resilient, allowing for a more fluid cloth that moves with the wearer. It’s also been soak treated for water repellency, adding functionality in inclement weather.
Our natural wool series showcases the ultimate fiber in its purest form. Utilizing the full range of sheep’s native hair colors—cream, taupe, light brown, and chocolate—we create natural merino wool, absent of any chemical dyes or synthetic finishing agents. The series yields a rich, neutral palette that pairs well with anything in your wardrobe. For the cool weather, we offer four solid colors of double-faced flannel, and a beautiful herringbone and houndstooth patterns that melds the entire color range. We also have a plain weave trouser fabric that’s well suited for warm weather.
This double-faced merino wool is made from fine, long staple fibers and carefully finished for a soft, silken hand. Try it in our coat models for a cozy companion in cold weather.
A special selection of fabrics is curated to provide a seasonal complement to the core Stòffa wardrobe. Reflecting the mood of the season, they are offered in limited quantities and only available for our made-to-measure series.
Light yet resilient, this fabric uses a 2-ply yarn with some extra twists for added strength and a beautiful, flowy quality. It’s dyed in matted hues and finished with a soft luster to complement the summer light.
