In the mid-1950’s, after decades of exclusion from their own cultural establishments, a movement began to return the entire network of Indian coffee houses back to the native workers who cultivated them.

Now a thriving cooperative of more than 400 outposts, the Indian Coffee House endures as a rich cultural and social hub imbued with the charm of a time gone by.
